The written commitments that guide how MAYF Academy admits students, protects them, and serves their families.
MAYF Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
Every student and staff member at MAYF Academy has the right to a school free of harassment, intimidation, and bullying. Concerns are taken seriously and addressed promptly. Students and families should bring any concern to the Administration Coordinator or the Principal; every report is reviewed by school leadership.
Student academic and personal records are kept confidential and are accessible to a student's own parents or guardians on request. Records are released to other schools or agencies only with parent authorization or as required by law. Questions about records should go to the Administration Coordinator.
MAYF Academy maintains student immunization documentation in accordance with Washington State law. Immunization records, or applicable certificates of exemption, are collected at enrollment and kept current for every student.
Most concerns are resolved fastest closest to the classroom. Families are encouraged to raise questions first with their child's teacher, then with the Principal or Administration Coordinator. Matters that remain unresolved may be brought to the Executive Director. The school responds to individualized family communication within one business day.
MAYF Academy is actively engaged in the national accreditation process for Islamic schools through CISNA and Cognia. Accreditation self-study includes written policy development, regular classroom observation, data review, and an annual school improvement plan.
