Enrollment & AdmissionsMeet Our LeadershipMAYF Academy is the full time school of the Muslim American Youth Foundation, founded by community leaders with more than twenty years of service to Muslim American families in Washington State. Our students learn Quran, Arabic, and Islamic studies alongside a full academic program, taught by caring teachers who know every child by name.
Small classes, clear expectations, and close partnership with parents are the heart of how we work. Families are part of the learning: weekly learning check-ins, reading together at home, and open communication between school and household.

Daily Quran and Arabic instruction with a focus on love of the deen, correct recitation, and living Islamic character.
Reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies in small classes, taught in person and anchored by a certified curriculum that families can follow from home.
Regular classroom observation, teacher development, and schoolwide improvement goals. MAYF Academy is actively working through the national accreditation process for Islamic schools (CISNA / Cognia).
MAYF Academy delivers its core academic program in partnership with Red Comet, an accredited, Washington-approved online curriculum provider. Students work through a full standards-based course of study, guided in person by MAYF teachers, while parents follow their child's progress through weekly learning check-ins.
The Academy sits inside the MAYF community center, alive seven days a week with athletics, weekend programs, seminars, and family events. Our students grow up inside a living community, not just a building.
The Academy is directed by Dr. Shaykh Yahya Suufi, Executive Director and Resident Scholar of the Muslim American Youth Foundation. A Madinah-trained scholar with a PhD and more than a decade of formal Islamic studies, Dr. Suufi has spent his life building institutions for Muslim American youth, from the masjid to the classroom to the playing field.
MAYF Academy partners with Abraham Education, the educational consultancy of Michael Abraham, who serves the Academy as Advisor of Instruction and School Operations. Together we are strengthening instruction, building professional systems, and raising the bar for what families can expect year after year.
The partnership brings classroom observation cycles, monthly professional development for our teachers, organizational structure, and a clear school improvement plan for the years ahead.
